Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: April 5, 2026
This Cancellation Policy governs the cancellation, rescheduling, and refund of tutoring sessions booked through Bridge Point Scholars Limited. By booking a session, you agree to the terms below.
1. Student Cancellations
1.1 Free Cancellation (24+ Hours Notice)
You may cancel a confirmed session at no cost if you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled session start time.
- Subscription users: your session credit is restored to your account immediately
- Pay-as-you-go users: a full refund is issued to your original payment method. Refund processing times depend on your payment provider
1.2 Late Cancellation (Less Than 24 Hours Notice)
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the session start time:
- Subscription users: the session credit is not restored — it is forfeited
- Pay-as-you-go users: you are charged the full session price. No refund is issued
The tutor is still compensated for late-canceled sessions, as they reserved that time for you.
2. No-Shows
If you fail to attend a confirmed session without canceling in advance:
- Subscription users: the session credit is forfeited
- Pay-as-you-go users: you are charged the full session price
- The tutor is compensated for the session
If you experience an emergency or extenuating circumstance, please contact us at info@bridgepointscholars.com as soon as possible. We review emergency situations on a case-by-case basis.
3. Tutor Cancellations
- Tutors may cancel a confirmed session with at least 24 hours notice
- If a tutor cancels, you receive a full refund (session credit restored for subscription users; payment refunded for pay-as-you-go users)
- We will attempt to find a replacement tutor for your session. If no replacement is available, the session is canceled and your credit or payment is fully refunded
4. Platform-Initiated Cancellations
In certain circumstances, Bridge Point Scholars Limited may cancel sessions. You will always receive a full refund in these cases:
- Tutor suspension or deactivation: all future sessions with the affected tutor are automatically canceled, and affected students receive full refunds
- Unaccepted requests: if you post a session request and no tutor accepts within 24 hours, the request is automatically canceled. No charge is made
- Payment failure: if payment cannot be processed for a booking, the session remains in a pending state and is not confirmed
5. Rescheduling
There is no direct rescheduling feature. To reschedule a session:
- Cancel the existing session (subject to the cancellation policy above)
- Book a new session at your preferred time
We recommend rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation charges.
6. Group Sessions
If you cancel your spot in a group session, other students in the group are not affected — the session continues as scheduled. Your cancellation and refund follow the same rules above.
7. Subscription Cancellation
Canceling your subscription is separate from canceling individual sessions:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your remaining session credits (including rolled-over credits) are preserved and may continue to be used until depleted
- No refunds are issued for unused subscription payments already charged
- Already-confirmed sessions are not affected by subscription cancellation — they proceed as scheduled
8. Free Trial Cancellation
- You may cancel during your 7-day free trial at no charge
- If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment is processed and your payment method is not charged
- Any unused trial session credits are forfeited upon cancellation
- Sessions already confirmed during the trial period will still take place
9. Admin Refund Discretion
Our administrators have the authority to issue refunds or restore session credits on a case-by-case basis, including in situations not explicitly covered by this policy. Decisions on discretionary refunds are final.
10. How Refunds Are Processed
- Subscription credits: restored to your account immediately upon eligible cancellation
- Payment refunds: initiated through our payment provider (PowerTranz). Processing times vary but typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the transaction
