Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 5, 2026
Important Notice
Bridge Point Scholars Limited is an independent educational resource hub and is not authorised, sponsored, endorsed, or otherwise approved by the Caribbean Examinations Council, the College Board, or any other examination body. CSEC®, CAPE®, CXC®, SAT®, and ACT® are registered trade marks of their respective owners and are referenced solely for descriptive purposes.
Welcome to Bridge Point Scholars Limited ("we," "us," or "the Company"). By accessing or using our platform at bridgepointscholars.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. About Our Service
Bridge Point Scholars Limited is an educational resource hub, not a tutor marketplace. Students book the company's services by subject and time — the platform assigns qualified tutors. Students do not select individual tutors for their first booking. After completing a session with a tutor, students may request that same tutor for future bookings as a preference, but this is not guaranteed.
In addition to live tutoring sessions, we provide a digital content library (study guides, quizzes, flashcards, diagnostic assessments), AI-powered tutoring tools (AI tutor chat, content generation), and classroom features (assignments, lesson plans, announcements) as part of our platform.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
2.1 Age Requirements
- Students aged 18 and older may create their own accounts
- Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian create and manage their account. The parent/guardian is the primary account holder and billing entity
- By creating an account for a minor, the parent/guardian consents to the collection and use of the minor's personal data as described in our Privacy Policy
2.2 Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Email verification is required before any booking can be made
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- One free trial per student profile — creating duplicate accounts to obtain additional trials is prohibited
2.3 Account Types
- Student/Parent accounts: browse sessions, create bookings, manage subscriptions, access the content library, use AI tutoring tools, and submit reviews
- Tutor accounts: created through our application process. Tutors must be approved by administration, submit verification documents (ID, degree/certification, background check), and complete their profile before becoming visible on the platform
- Admin accounts: managed internally. No self-registration for admin roles
2.4 Enrollment Inquiry
Parents may submit an enrollment inquiry form on our website before creating an account. Information submitted through the enrollment form (student details, academic needs, scheduling preferences, medical notes, media consent) is stored securely and used solely for the purpose of arranging tutoring services. See our Privacy Policy for data handling details.
3. Booking & Sessions
3.1 Booking Process
Sessions can be booked in two ways:
- Book a posted slot: tutors post available time slots. Students select a slot, pay immediately (or use a subscription credit), and the session is confirmed instantly
- Post a request: students post their preferred time/subject/modality. Qualified tutors are notified and may accept. The first tutor to accept is assigned. If no tutor accepts within 24 hours, the request is automatically canceled
3.2 Booking Rules
- Sessions may be booked up to 2 weeks in advance
- Minimum booking lead time is 8 hours before the session start
- All sessions are group sessions by default (up to 4 students) unless solo tutoring is specifically requested
- Solo tutoring incurs a 25% surcharge
- A 15-minute buffer is enforced between sessions for each tutor
- Double-booking is prevented by our system — no overlapping sessions per tutor or student
3.3 Session Conduct
- Students are expected to be on time and prepared for sessions
- For in-person sessions, students must provide a safe and appropriate learning environment at the agreed location
- For online sessions, a Google Meet link is provided upon booking confirmation
- Sessions are automatically marked as completed 30 minutes after the scheduled end time unless otherwise indicated by the tutor
4. Pricing & Payments
4.1 Pricing
Session pricing is determined by subject category and modality (in-person vs. online). Online sessions are approximately 20% less than in-person rates. Current pricing is displayed on our website and is subject to change with notice. Prices are listed in Eastern Caribbean Dollars (XCD).
4.2 Payment Methods
Payments are processed securely through our payment provider (PowerTranz / First Atlantic Commerce). Card details are entered on PowerTranz's hosted payment page and tokenized — Bridge Point never sees or stores your full card number. By making a purchase, you agree to PowerTranz's terms of service.
4.3 Subscriptions
- Subscription plans (Explorer, Learner, Scholar) provide access to practice questions, AI tutor, diagnostics, and session booking
- Explorer plan provides access to practice questions, AI tutor chat, and diagnostic assessments with limited daily/monthly caps. Learner and Scholar plans unlock full access, session booking, and additional AI features. Family discounts available for multiple students
- Subscriptions auto-renew monthly on your billing date
- Unused sessions roll over month-to-month, capped at 2x your monthly allowance
- Rolled-over sessions persist after cancellation until used
- A 20% sibling discount applies to the 2nd and additional student subscriptions from the same parent account (cannot be combined with scholarship awards)
- Subscriptions may be paused for up to 2 months (e.g., school holidays). During a pause, billing stops and credits are frozen
4.4 Free Trial
- New students are eligible for a 7-day free trial of the Explorer plan, which provides access to practice questions, AI tutor messages, and diagnostic assessments
- No credit card or payment method is required to start a free trial
- At the end of the 7-day trial period, access to trial features expires automatically. You may upgrade to a paid plan at any time during or after the trial
- One free trial per student profile — creating duplicate accounts to obtain additional trials is a violation of these Terms
- During the trial, you have access to all Explorer plan features including up to 2 subjects, 10 practice questions per day, 15 AI messages per month, and a shortened diagnostic assessment
- Bridge Point Scholars reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the free trial offer at any time without prior notice
4.5 Late Payments
- Failed subscription payments trigger a 3-day grace period to update your payment method
- After the grace period, the subscription is paused and no new bookings can be made until payment is resolved
- An XCD$10.00 late payment fee applies if payment is not resolved within 48 hours
- Outstanding balances result in account suspension until cleared
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
For complete details, see our Cancellation Policy. In summary:
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the session start time
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before) are charged in full (pay-as-you-go) or result in forfeited session credit (subscription users)
- No-shows are billed in full
- Rescheduling follows the same cancellation policy (cancel the existing session and book a new one)
6. Content Library & Digital Educational Materials
6.1 Content Access
All active subscribers have access to our digital content library, which includes study guides, quizzes, flashcards, diagnostic assessments, lesson plans, and other educational materials. Content access may be revoked upon subscription cancellation or account termination.
6.2 User-Generated Content
- Tutors may upload educational materials for use by their students. All uploaded materials are subject to admin review and approval before publication
- Students may submit assignments and interact with content through quizzes and flashcard decks
- Users retain ownership of original content they create but grant Bridge Point Scholars Limited a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute such content within the platform for educational purposes
6.3 Content Restrictions
- Educational materials provided by Bridge Point Scholars Limited are for personal educational use only
- Users are strictly prohibited from copying, reproducing, distributing, uploading to external platforms, or selling any Company materials
- Content may include materials distributed through Google Classroom or other integrated learning platforms — the same restrictions apply
- Unauthorized use of Company intellectual property may result in account termination and legal action
7. AI Services & Safety
7.1 AI Tutor Chat
Our platform includes an AI-powered tutor chat feature that provides on-demand academic assistance. The AI tutor is designed to help students with homework, concept explanations, and exam preparation. The AI tutor:
- Is intended as a supplement to — not a replacement for — live tutoring sessions with qualified human tutors
- May not always provide perfectly accurate responses. Students should verify critical information with their human tutor or teacher
- Has daily message limits that vary by subscription plan
- Has monthly AI message and generation caps that vary by plan: Explorer (15 messages/month), Learner (150 messages, 15 generations), Scholar (unlimited, fair use policy applies)
7.2 AI Safety Monitoring
To protect our students, AI tutor conversations are monitored for:
- Mental health distress signals: if the AI detects language indicating a student may be in emotional distress or experiencing a mental health crisis, a safety notification is sent to the student's parent/guardian and platform administrators. The notification includes the student's name, subject, and timestamp — but does not include the flagged message text, to preserve the student's privacy
- Harmful language: if the AI detects harmful, violent, or inappropriate language, a similar notification is sent. Crisis resources and helpline information are included in parent notifications
By using the AI tutor chat feature, parents/guardians acknowledge and consent to this safety monitoring. This monitoring is conducted solely for student safety purposes and does not constitute surveillance of academic content.
7.3 AI Content Generation
Our platform uses AI to generate educational content including quizzes, study guides, flashcards, and worksheets. AI-generated content is reviewed by our team for accuracy before publication. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors and should be used as a study aid, not as an authoritative academic source.
8. Reviews
- Reviews may only be submitted after a session is completed and payment has been processed
- One review per session
- All reviews are subject to admin moderation before publication
- Reviews must be honest and respectful. We reserve the right to remove reviews that contain inappropriate content, personal attacks, or false information
- Tutors cannot respond to reviews
9. Referral Program
- Registered users receive a unique referral code
- Referrer reward: 1 free session credit when the referred family completes their first paid session
- Referee reward: 1 extra free session added to their trial
- Referral credits do not expire but cannot be converted to cash
- Abuse of the referral program (e.g., self-referrals, fake accounts) will result in forfeiture of credits and possible account suspension
10. Tutor Terms
- Tutors are independent service providers engaged by Bridge Point Scholars Limited
- Tutor compensation is set by the Company based on subject category tiers and is not negotiable by individual tutors
- Tutors must submit their weekly availability by Sunday of each week. Failure to do so will result in being hidden from search for that week
- Tutors must maintain up-to-date verification documents
- The Company reserves the right to suspend or deactivate tutor accounts for policy violations, poor reviews, or failure to meet quality standards
- When a tutor is suspended, all their future confirmed sessions are automatically canceled and affected students receive full refunds
11. Photography & Media Consent
Bridge Point Scholars Limited may occasionally use photographs, video recordings, or testimonials of students for educational or marketing purposes. Media consent is collected on a per-student basis during enrollment. Parents/guardians may update their consent preference at any time through the platform or by contacting us. Students whose parents/guardians have not provided consent will not be featured in any promotional materials.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Arrange sessions directly with tutors outside the platform to avoid fees
- Create multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials
- Harass, threaten, or abuse any user of the platform
- Upload false information, fraudulent documents, or misleading content
- Attempt to circumvent security measures, access restrictions, or payment systems
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce platform content without authorization
- Use the AI tutor chat for non-academic purposes, to generate harmful content, or to attempt to bypass safety filters
- Upload malicious software or interfere with platform operations
- Impersonate another user or tutor
13. Intellectual Property
All content on this platform — including text, graphics, logos, software, curriculum materials, teaching frameworks, study guides, educational content, and AI-generated materials — is the property of Bridge Point Scholars Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
14. Limitation of Liability
- Bridge Point Scholars Limited provides tutoring services intended to support student learning; however, the Company does not guarantee specific academic results, including exam scores, grade improvements, or admission outcomes. Educational outcomes depend on numerous factors including student effort, school instruction, and study habits
- We are not liable for the actions of individual tutors beyond our reasonable duty of care in screening and monitoring
- AI tutor responses are provided for educational support and may contain inaccuracies. The Company is not liable for reliance on AI-generated content

- We are not responsible for technical issues with third-party services (Google Meet, payment processors) that may affect session delivery
15. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Bridge Point Scholars Limited complies with the Saint Lucia Data Protection Act 2011. These external services are not controlled by Bridge Point Scholars Limited and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Users access external services at their own risk.
17. Service Availability
Bridge Point Scholars Limited reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of its services, including tutoring formats, tutor assignments, scheduling procedures, content library offerings, AI features, and website functionality. Tutors may be reassigned when necessary to ensure service continuity.

19. Termination
- You may close your account at any time by contacting us
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any conduct we deem harmful to the platform or its users
- Upon termination, any outstanding session credits (including rollover) remain available until used. No cash refunds for unused subscription credits
- Access to the content library and AI features is revoked upon termination
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Saint Lucia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saint Lucia.
21. Changes to These Terms
